More on Longevity…
Just fell upon this report in the Telegraph about how much time people spend waiting in queues over their lifetime: 6 months for the British. There’s no reason to believe that Americans, or for that matter, anyone living in a consumption-based society would do better than the Brits, so I think this also applies to you, who’s reading this.
Imagine how fast time adds up!! The world have invested trillions in medical research to extend peoples’ lives for a few weeks, and you are spending your time waiting at the grocery store, in the bank, for movie tickets, etc… This doesn’t even include time spent stuck in traffic (when going to that hip new night club in town where you’ll be waiting in a line that runs for 2 blocks).
Imaging what you could have done instead if you had all this extra time on your hand. For one thing, you could at least read a few thousand more blogs like this one…
