Fremont, being the center of the Universe, organizes and hosts every year the solstice parade to celebrate the longest day of the year.
In this post I’d like to mainly give tribute to the naked cyclists that kicked off the parade. There were hundreds of them this year: 500 the announcer said, but I think it’s more like 200+ cyclists. As usual, everybody was represented and the theme varied from the caveman/women to Super Women to Tinkerbell.

Katia and I managed to get there at about the time the parade started, however we were not able to find a good spot to take pictures. Furthermore, the battery in our camera died within 10 minutes, and we resorted to our phones to document the rest of the parade. The quality of the photos is average bordering on bad in many instances. I’ll try to get there earlier next year, to capture some good quality photos.

Anyway, I’ll leave you now to browse the picture gallery. Needless to say, there’s some innocent nudity there, so if you risk being offended please visit my other posts instead. See you next week at the Gay Pride Parade!
